The new Poster Gallery by painter Janet Kruskamp
 

Janet Kruskamp's new series of vintage movie posters includes Premier, an original painting. Reminding us of the splendor that was Hollywood at it's peak, a vintage touring car, complete with an open driver's compartment sits ready to roll right to left. You would expect the driver to jump out any second to open the door for his movie star passenger. A swath of spot light cuts diagonally through the background from the lower left to the upper right. The elongated word PREMIER sits in thin black letters above the spotlight and red background, but the text is masked off over portions of the last four letters by a graphic representation of red palm trees.
